Mumbai Police Conduct Raids, Confiscate Large Quantity of Counterfeit SKF Bearings

Mumbai, 5 September 2026 ( TGN ): SKF, a leading bearings brand in India, in coordination with the Pydhonie Police Station, conducted enforcement action in Mumbai to curb the proliferation of counterfeit SKF products in the market

The raids were conducted on 31 August 2026 at three locations in Masjid Bandar, Pydhonie, Mumbai, comprising two wholesale entities and one branding unit (karkhana), with the assistance of officials from Pydhonie Police Station. Three persons were arrested named Kirti Ratilal Shah, Kishorbhai Shantilal Shah and Arbaaz Rahamattullah Khan from three different locations in Masjid Bandar, Pydhonie.

The wholesale entites were found selling counterfeit bearings to consumers in Mumbai and surrounding regions. The Karkhana was being used for Branding “SKF” name on raw bearings. The enforcement action resulted in the seizure of more than 780 pieces of fake bearings & 20000 outerbox packaging sheets.
