Mumbai’s Aavya Gupta Secures 2nd Place in Bharatnatyam at ANASS INDIA’s “Nrutya Anubhuti – 2025”

22 Aug, 2025, Mumbai ( TGN ) – Mumbai-based 9-year-old Aavya Gupta has once again brought honors to the city of Mumbai as well as the state of Maharashtra by securing 2nd place in Bharatnatyam (Solo, Minor category) at the prestigious All India 18th Cultural National Dance Contest and Festival “Nrutya Anubhuti – 2025”, organized by Akhil Natrajam Aantar Sanskrutik Sangh (ANASS), held in Mumbai.

The festival was organized from 18th August to 21st August 2025, where around 1,200 artists of various age groups from across India participated, showcasing a wide spectrum of dance forms ranging from classical styles such as Kathak, Bharatnatyam, and Kuchipudi to vibrant folk dances.

Hundreds of contestants represented Maharashtra in this cultural festival. Aavya participated in the Minor category of Bharatnatyam (Solo) and stood out with her graceful performance, winning recognition at the national level.

Influenced by South Indian classical music and dance traditions, Aavya has been receiving Bharatnatyam training from Acharya Shree Shubham Khowal Ji for the last four years.
