Rs 1 Crore Investment in Ashtavinayak Wari at Girgaon to Offer a Unique Devotional Experience
Mumbai 13 th August 2025 ( TGN ): This Ganesh Chaturthi, Girgaon is set to witness an unprecedented devotional celebration with the launch of the Ashtavinayak Wari concept — a first-of-its-kind initiative curated by 3ioNetra in association with Girgaon Ganeshotsav, a collective of 86 Ganesh Mandals from the area. With an investment of Rs 1 crore, this unique project aims to offer devotees an immersive and traditional spiritual journey.
The Ashtavinayak Wari will bring together eight magnificently designed temples, each dedicated to a different form of Lord Ganesha, allowing devotees to seek blessings from all eight in one place. Spearheading the artistic vision, Art Director Sumeet Patil is leading the design and construction, ensuring the temples reflect authentic heritage and grandeur.
Adding a strong social dimension to this initiative, Sushirmala Foundation has partnered with the project, with a focus on women empowerment and employment. The majority of the workforce engaged in the making of the Ashtavinayak temples will be women, providing them with both income opportunities and a platform to showcase their skills.
Traditional Festivities & Devotional Services
Girgaon Ganeshotsav has chosen to celebrate Ganesh Utsav in its most authentic form. Each temple will have its own dedicated poojaris present round-the-clock to perform and oversee various poojas and sevas. Devotees will be able to book these services in advance, ensuring that prayers and rituals are carried out with devotion and precision.
Speaking on the occasion, the organisers shared, “This year’s celebration is not just about grandeur, but also about inclusivity, tradition, and community spirit. We want every devotee to feel the spiritual essence of the Ashtavinayak darshan while also supporting social causes.”
