MUMBAI, 20 JUNE, 2025 (TGN)– A memorable reunion ceremony was held with great enthusiasm and celebration on the evening of 15th June 2025 at Kohinoor Hall, Dadar, for the members of the Mumbai Police Force who were recruited in 1993 (Nagpur 1993 Training Batch).
On this occasion, all the attendees recalled their memories of the past 32 years of service. About 150/155 police people from Mumbai, Thane, Konkan, Western Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha participated in this gathering.
They were brought together to celebrate the event. On this occasion, they paid tribute to their deceased friends. Also, retired colleagues were felicitated with due respect.
Sweets were also distributed to the families of the members. All the members of this batch were together for training in Nagpur in the year 1993. During the training, the members of this batch have done remarkable work with patience in sensitive areas such as Killari earthquake relief and rehabilitation, and expansion of the name of the college in Marathwada district.
Also, in 2005, they worked day and night during the floods caused by heavy rains in Mumbai. Members of this batch plant trees every year during the monsoon. So far, members of this batch have planted more than 5,000 trees.
This batch celebrated one of its reunions with the children at a primary school in Virar where poor tribal children study. They distributed educational and sports materials to the needy children of that school. A cash donation was also provided for the construction of toilets, along with providing clean water for the children.
This program was well planned by President Mangesh Sawant, Secretary Shailesh Kupwadekar, Planner Sandesh Jadhav, Treasurer Sanjay Bandwe, Deputy Treasurer Ramesh Jadhav, and all Pandurang Chavan, Shivram Shitap, Dilip Jagdale, Ramesh Raorane, Maruti Kalke, Sudhir Parab, and Rajendra Sonawane.
