Falcon ICU partners with Dr Mahajan Hospital to launch its second Smart ICU Unit in Mumbai, paving the way for a revolution in affordable and accessible ICU care in the neighbourhood

Falcon ICU’s ambitious plan includes investing in approximately 3000 ICU beds across mid-sized hospitals in Metro & Rural cities in India over the next five years

Mumbai, 12th Feb 2025 (TGN): Falcon ICU, a division of Critical Care Unified (CCU), pioneers of critical care @ home, collaborate with Mahajan Hospital to establish its second Smart ICU unit in Mumbai. This strategic partnership is a significant leap forward addressing the growing need for world class ICU facilities driven by experienced Intensivists, international protocols and technology. Falcon ICU further implements its commitment to enhancing affordable healthcare accessibility across Maharashtra.

The new ICU unit is designed to meet the increasing demand of mid-size hospitals in Mumbai and will play a crucial role in providing essential care to critically ill patients. Falcon ICU’s ambitious plan includes investing in approximately 3000 ICU beds across mid-sized hospitals focused in Metro & Rural cities in India over the next five years. In addition to Falcon ICUs in India, CCU has a robust plan internationally, which will add another 1000 Falcon ICU beds. CCU has already launched it’s operations in Nairobi, Kenya to address the East African Market. This expansion not only aims to elevate patient care but also supports healthcare professionals with state-of-the-art technology and resources.

The ICU at Mahajan Hospital is equipped with next-generation monitoring systems, real-time patient tracking, and the latest advancements in critical care technology. The integration of these advanced tools will enable healthcare professionals to deliver precise, timely, and effective critical care interventions, improving patient survival rates and recovery outcomes.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Rajiv Mathur, Executive Chairman of Critical Care Unified (CCU), and Founder of Falcon ICU, stated “Our goal is to revolutionize critical care accessibility in India. Dr. Avdhut Kulkarni, Senior Intensivist at Falcon ICU, further elaborated on the challenges faced by mid-sized hospitals regarding ICU infrastructure. He explained that many of these facilities struggle to offer adequate critical care due to limited resources. “Our mission is to bridge this gap with state-of-the-art setups,” he said, indicating that the collaboration between CCU and local hospitals aims to combine technology, expertise, and efficient management practices to ensure that quality critical care is accessible where it is needed most.
