Kailasha Vadyam Offered at Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar Temple; Featured in Mahakaal Rajasi Sawari Procession
Ujjain, September 7, 2026 ( TGN ) : A unique musical offering dedicated to Shiva, Kailasha Vadyam, was offered for the very first time at Ujjain’s revered Mahakaleshwar Temple as part of the Mahakaal Rajasi Sawari procession today. Presented by the Shivanga team of Thenkailaya Bakthi Peravai associated with Sadhguru’s Isha Foundation, Kailasha Vadyam combines powerful instrumental sounds inspired by the musical tradition of Kailash and is offered as a means to experience the profound dimension of Shiva through sound.
The Kailasha Vadyam offering was held at around 1 PM at the Mahakaleshwar Temple. Later in the day, the Shivanga team became part of the Mahakaal Rajasi Sawari procession, which commenced around 4 PM and featured around 70 Bhajan Mandlis presenting devotional songs, dance, bhajans and other musical offerings. Prior to the Mahakaleshwar offering, Kailasha Vadyam was offered at Vikrant Bhairav Temple (Asht Maha Bhairav Ujjain) on September 6.
Ujjain holds a unique place in India’s spiritual landscape and is closely associated with Shiva. The Kailasha Vadyam offering at Mahakaleshwar and its presence in the Mahakaal Rajasi Sawari provided devotees and participants an opportunity to experience this traditional form of musical offering in a vibrant devotional setting.
Kailasha Vadyam can be offered at any Shiva temple upon invitation and is offered free of cost by Thenkailaya Bakthi Peravai. The offering is conducted by trained instrumentalists from the Shivanga team and is intended to be experienced in person.
