Mumba 13 th January 2026 ( TGN ): Gleneagles Hospital, Parel, Mumbai, has achieved a major milestone in neurological care by becoming the only hospital in Mumbai to receive the World Stroke Organization (WSO) and the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH)– Advanced Stroke Centre Certification. The recognition follows a rigorous and detailed inspection process that evaluated the hospital’s infrastructure, clinical protocols, emergency response systems, and patient outcomes in stroke care. The stroke Programme is led by a highly experienced multidisciplinary team involving three senior specialists- Dr Shirish Hastak, Dr Nitin Dange, Dr Pankaj Agarwal, interventional experts, and critical care physicians, who work in close coordination from diagnosis to rehabilitation. Door-to-Needle Time (DTNT) and Door-to-Groin Time (DTGT), which are crucial for stroke recovery outcomes.
