Mumbai 24 th September 2025 ( TGN ): The annual public Navratri celebrations at Ganesh Maidan, Kurla (West), were held with great fervor under the banner of Bal Vikas Mitra Mandal. As per tradition, the festivities began with the grand and joyous arrival of Kajupada’s Goddess Bhavani, accompanied by music and vibrant processions, under the leadership of MLA Dilip Lande, the chief patron of the mandal.

On Tuesday, September 23, the second day of the festival—dedicated to the color red—featured a magnificent evening aarti. Staying true to the Mandal’s tradition of honoring both eminent personalities and common devotees each day, the second day’s aarti privilege was extended to the city’s police force.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Datta Nalawade, Assistant Commissioner of Police Pradeep Merkote, along with several police personnel and other dignitaries, performed the aarti of Goddess Bhavani amidst a deeply devotional atmosphere.
Speaking about the celebrations, organizers emphasized that the event is not just about rituals but also about fostering unity and devotion within the community. Under MLA Dilip Lande’s supervision, the Mandal continues to uphold the cultural and spiritual spirit of Navratri in Kajupada.

Devotees thronged the venue to seek the Goddess’s blessings, praying for the fulfillment of wishes and partaking in the spiritually charged celebrations.
