January 19, 2025, Mumbai (TGN) :The Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025, one of India’s most iconic sporting events, took place today with a renewed focus on participant safety and well-being. Thousands of runners from across the globe gathered for the marathon, and this year, the event witnessed enhanced medical preparedness, with a specialized Quick Response Team stationed every 2 kilometers along the route.
The team, led by *Dr. Aijaaz Ashai, President of the Sports Cell of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists* (IAP), was tasked with providing immediate medical assistance to runners in need. Dr. Ashai, brought his extensive expertise to the role, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for participants.
The Quick Response Team, which included skilled physiotherapists and medical professionals, was established under the leadership of Dr. Sanjiv Jha, President of the IAP, and Dr. Ruchi Varshney, President of the Women Cell of the IAP. The team’s presence throughout the marathon route underscored the importance of professional care and readiness for any health concerns or emergencies that might arise.
