MUMBAI, 26 October 2026: Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) India, under South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, hosted “KOCCA ON SCREEN,” a flagship B2B export support event for Korean broadcast content, on October 22–23, 2026, at the National Museum of Indian Cinema (NMIC) in Mumbai, with support from the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), a public body under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
The programme introduced Indian industry professionals to the latest Korean dramas, entertainment shows and emerging content formats, offering insights into Korean content production and audience trends. The two-day event featured IP pitching under “Spotlight on K-IP,” 15 structured one-to-one business meeting sessions, a networking reception facilitating discussions on licensing, remake rights, format sales, distribution and co-production opportunities.
With surging global demand for Korean entertainment, the initiative aimed to tap into India’s population of 1.47 billion and its fast-growing OTT user base of 650 million. Moving beyond individual or one-off transactions, KOCCA ON SCREEN served as a structured, deal-focused B2B platform to establish sustainable, long-term business partnerships between South Korea and India. The event intended to strengthen institutional trust, lower entry barriers and deepen bilateral media cooperation between the two countries.
Five leading Korean broadcasting and content companies—CJ ENM, KBS Media, SBS, EBS and KT ENA—were selected based on advance buyer preference surveys. They showcased 24 flagship and upcoming titles from 2025–2026 across dramas, variety shows and documentaries.
Satyajit Mandle, Dy.General Manager, NMIC-NFDC Said “KOCCA, in collaboration with NMIC-NFDC, has taken a wonderful initiative to foster co-production opportunities between Indian and Korean companies in the AVGC and Film sectors. This is a significant step towards strengthening the creative partnership between our two nations.
As envisioned by our Hon’ble Prime Minister, we are committed to strengthening the Orange Economy, and we will continue to build many more such international collaborations in the future. We are confident that the next edition of this event will be even bigger and grander.”
