UPITS 2025 Roadshow Held in Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh Expands Western India Outreach Ahead of Mega Trade Show

Mumbai 25 th July  2025 ( TGN ) : In a strategic move to bolster trade connectivity and promote investment in Uttar Pradesh’s dynamic MSME and export ecosystem, the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS 2025) moves to Maharashtra for the fourth leg of its promotion. The roadshow for the 3rd edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS 2025) was held in Mumbai, the financial capital of India, at Walchand Hirachand Hall, IMC Building, Churchgate.

The Mumbai edition of the roadshow was presided over by Rakesh Sachan, Minister for MSME, Khadi and Village Industries, Sericulture, Handloom & Textile, Government of Uttar Pradesh, who served as Chief Guest. Also present were V. Pandian, IAS, Commissioner-Industries, Govt. of U.P; Deependra Singh Kushwah, IAS, Development Commissioner (Industries), GoM; Dr. Neeraj Khanna, Chairman, EPCH; Lalit Gandhi, President of Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture; Jaiprakash Bhatia, Chairman, Builders Association of India (BAI) – Mumbai Centre; along with other dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Rakesh Sachan stated that more than a Trade Show, UPITS is a celebration of Uttar Pradesh’s entrepreneurial excellence, deeply rooted in tradition yet forward-looking in its global ambitions. He highlighted how MSMEs, artisans, and traditional clusters of Uttar Pradesh are scaling up under schemes like ODOP and PM Vishwakarma, and how UPITS 2025 provides them with an international platform to showcase their strengths.

In his keynote address, V. Pandian, IAS, emphasized that UPITS 2025—to be held from September 25 to 29, 2025, at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida—will feature curated B2B meetings, international buyer delegations, sector-specific showcases, and a vast sourcing marketplace that spans electronics, textiles, food processing, ODOP products, and more. He underlined the government’s commitment to ease of doing business and enhanced market access for MSMEs.

Dr. Neeraj Khanna, Chairman, EPCH has emphasised the importance of promoting export of goods produced by Indian artisans, workers for overall socio-economic development in the country.

The Heads and Representatives of Business Associations have congratulated the UP Govt. for its vision in curating UPITS and promised support in sourcing from UPITS 2025.
Sudeep Sarcar, CEO, India Exposition Mart Limited briefed UPITS 2025’s expanded features—dedicated B2B zones, buyer-seller meetings, ODOP displays, and export clusters—offering a comprehensive view of Uttar Pradesh’s industrial and artisanal landscape.

The roadshow highlighted the deepening trade and export ties between Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, especially its capital Mumbai, a major financial and trading hub of India. Maharashtra continues to be one of the largest buyers of Uttar Pradesh’s manufactured goods—particularly in segments like food and agro products, leather, garments, handicrafts, furniture, and engineering goods. The roadshow sought to build stronger B2B and G2B connections, encouraging Maharashtra-based sourcing consultants, institutional buyers, and exporters to actively participate in UPITS 2025.

The event also featured a film on UPITS and a presentation on the scale and scope of the upcoming edition. Attendees were briefed on export zones, ODOP showcases, MSME pavilions, and the significant government support being extended to exhibitors.

Following the success of its previous editions—each drawing lakhs of visitors and thousands of crores in business enquiries—UPITS 2025 is expected to scale even greater heights. The Mumbai roadshow served as a vital platform to forge new collaborations, unlock market access, and reaffirm Uttar Pradesh’s position as a vibrant manufacturing and export-driven economy.
