Mumbai, 8th July 2025 ( TGN ) :In a landmark collaboration with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), the Aditya Group of Institutions (AGI) has secured the naming rights for the Shimpoli Metro Station on Yellow Line 2A. The station will now be officially known as Aditya Colleges Shimpoli Station. Located at the heart of Borivali, the newly renamed station serves as a vital transit hub for thousands of daily commuters.
AGI’s Role and Commitment
AGI, a leading educational institution in Mumbai, will:
- Implement digital displays, platform signage, and interactive commuter zones
- Strengthen its presence in the community through branding and outreach
- Be the first educational institution in Mumbai to undertake such a metro branding initiative

Distinguished Guests and Academic Leaders Grace the Event
The event was graced by several distinguished attendees from the Aditya Group of Institutions and esteemed guests. Dr. Harishchandra S. Mishra, Chairman and Founder Trustee of the Aditya Group of Institutions, was present along with Shri Ashish H. Mishra and Shri Aditya H. Mishra, both Trustees of the institution. Dr. Rajan Saxena, Strategic Advisor to the Group, also attended the event. Dr. Saxena brings a wealth of academic leadership experience, having served as the former Vice-Chancellor of SVKM’s NMIMS (Mumbai), the Founding Director of IIM Indore, and former Director at both SPJIMR and ICFAI Business School. Shri Gurunath Dalvi, Mentor at Aditya College of Architecture (ACA), also marked his presence.
From the academic leadership of the Aditya Group, Dr. Balkrishna Parab, Director of Aditya Institute of Management Studies and Research (AIMSR) and Dean of Management Studies, attended the event along with Prof. Mukund Prasad, Director of Aditya School of Business Management (ASBM), and Shri Jamshed Bhiwandiwalla, Principal of Aditya College of Architecture (ACA). The event was also honored by the presence of Shri Maloji Shinde, Senior Police Inspector at Borivali Police Station.
